Some Facts


1 The fort of Amer is located in the beautiful locations of Jaipur and is one of the most prominent attraction of jaipur. Amer Fort is a construction done in red sandstone and marbel with four different floors.

2 Rajasthan is international renowned for its royal forts and places which present the gorgeous history of the Rajput Clans of india .Built between the 5th and 17th-18th centuries AD.

3 The serial site, situated in the state of Rajasthan, includes six majestic forts in Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Jaipur and Jaisalmer.

4 Jaisalmer fort is located in the beautiful city of Jaisalmer with a status of UNESCO world heritage site amongst the group of hill forts of Rajasthan. It is one of the largest hill forts of Rajasthan and also one of the most preserved and equipped one.

5 The forts use the natural defenses offered by the landscape; hils , deserts, rivers, and dense forests. They also feature extensive water haevesting structures, largely still in use today.

6 within the defensive walls of the forts, the architecture of places and other buildings reflects their role as centres of courtly culture, and places of patronage for learning arts and music. 

7 Chittorghar is known for its enormous size as it is the largest hill fort in Rajasthan and also remembered for its glorious historical battles. It is located beside the Bersch river had housed many martyrs of Rajasthan.

8 There is also a jain temple seen inside the premises of the fort which is dedicated to Lord Sumatinath who was 5th Jain Tirthankar and Lord Sambhavanath.

9 Ranthambore fort is also having many temple inside its premises which are dedicated to Hindu Lords- Ganesh , Shiva and Rama which are constructed in red Karauli stone in 12th and 13th centuries.

10 kumbhalgarh fort is a gigantic hill fort located high on the Aravalli ranges. It was built during the reign of Rana Kumbha in the 15th century and was believed to the birthplace of Maharana Pratap. It is having the second largest wall in the world after the great wall of China.



SHORT HISTORY


          The eclectic architecture of the forts, some up to 20 kilometers in circumference, bears testimony to the power of the Rajput princely states that flourished in the region from the region from the 8th to the 18th centuries. Within the State of Rajasthan, six that extensive and majestic hill forts .
